North Cronulla SLSC has enjoyed a proud tradition in surf swimming events. Many of our past and current State and Australian Champions have come from this section. With the introduction in recent years of new swim based events, we will be focusing on developing our swimmers to compete in these events. The belt race, rescue tube race and rescue tube rescue events for male and female to name a few.
This season the swim captain and coach will be Tracey Schriek. She will be ably assisted by Adam Calo and Aaron Markey. They have all committed to coaching and mentoring all competitors for the forthcoming season. All are strong competitors and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the swim section and are available to assist in any way possible.
The Sunday morning handicap surf race has been running for many years at North Cronulla and is open to any proficient SRC or Bronze Medallion holder in a Pink High Vis singlet.
This year we are renaming it the “NORTH CRONULLA KIOSK SURF RACE”. The weekly winner will receive a famous Kiosk egg and bacon roll and milkshake or coffee proudly donated by Tony and Lynn. Our first race is SUNDAY 12 OCTOBER 2014 11am.
Training will be Thursday morning 6AM North Cronulla beach. Starting Thursday 2 October.
