North Cronulla SLSC Celebrates 100 Years of Surf Lifesaving Excellence
23 July 2025
100th North Cronulla AGM
We are planning to celebrate our AGM on Sunday 17 August 2025 where we will adopt the 100th Annual Report. This AGM will also include a very important moment, when four members will be considered for elevation to life membership. It is anticipated we will hold this event in Dunningham Park under a marquee.
North Cronulla SLSC Celebrates 100 Years of Surf Lifesaving Excellence
December 2025 marks an extraordinary milestone in the rich history of North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club—our centenary. It was on the second Sunday of December 1925 that our very first patrol stepped onto the sands to begin their duty of protecting beachgoers, setting the foundation for a legacy of service, camaraderie, and coastal pride.
To honour this momentous occasion, we invite all members to join us for a special weekend of celebrations. On that commemorative Sunday, we will proudly march through Cronulla and onto our beach, followed by a spectacular lifesaving display. The celebration will continue with a gathering under a marquee in Dunningham Park—a fitting tribute to a century of dedication and community spirit.
All members are strongly encouraged to take part in this historic march, reflecting our unity, passion, and purpose. To add to the visual impact of the event, members are kindly asked to wear a blue button-down shirt and peak cap featuring our 100-year logo. These items will be made available for purchase ahead of the AGM. Of course, if purchasing new apparel isn’t feasible, we warmly welcome everyone to join in wearing our traditional blue and gold.
Looking ahead to 2026, our centenary dinner will take place on Saturday, 9 May 2026. This formal celebration promises to be a night to remember, with more details to be shared closer to the date.
In addition, commemorative keepsakes will be available, including a stunning 100-Year Centenary Book—designed as a leather-bound coffee table edition with a dust jacket—and a commemorative surf towel emblazoned with the names of all North Cronulla patrolling members throughout our history. These mementos will serve as enduring tributes to our club’s proud heritage.
Let’s come together to celebrate 100 years of service, friendship, and lifesaving excellence. This is our legacy—let’s march it proudly into the future.
