Kane Hughes - SLSA Lifesaver of the Year.
25 October 2016
Congratulations Kane Hughes - SLSA lifesaver of the Year!
On behalf on the North Cronulla SLSC and our members, we extend our congratulations to Kane on his award at the recent 2016 SLSA Awards of Excellence.
Kane is a credit to North Cronulla SLSC and his family is very proud of this wonderful achievement and recognition of his contribution to surf life saving.
This is the first time a member of our club has achieved this SLSA award and it was richly deserved with some very high calibre representatives from the other states vying for this award.

Kane Hughes from North Cronulla SLSC was crowned Lifesaver of the Year thanks to his efforts for his club and Surf Life Saving Sydney. The current Vice Captain and Patrol Captain at North Cronulla, spends his patrol hours mentoring young SRC and Bronze Medallion holders.
His contribution to the Surf Life Saving Sydney Support Operations Group is evident, also being on a Duty Officer roster where he attends major incident callouts, along with attending carnivals as an Official, Water Safety Coordinator and Emergency Services Officer.
