Aussies 2017 Update - Conditions, Competition and Member Safety
North Cronulla Members
On behalf of the President, Board of Directors, Aussies Team Management we extend to you the following message.
- Obviously in light of the weather currently being experienced at Aussies on the Gold Coast we again remind our members, family and friends to stay safe and adhere to safety advice as communicated from emergency services.
- Competitors are reminded to be prepared with adequate supplies of healthy food and water. Continue to monitor your diet, relax and rest. Be prepared for competition when it resumes with bags packed and competition gear ready.
- Stay inside, don't risk your safety attempting a social media storm post.
- Continue to support each other and check up on team mates.
- Should you require assistance you are welcome to contact Geoff Budd Club President, Paul Clearly Team Manager and sections leaders as required.
- Keep mobile devices well charged as we could experience power failures.
- Be aware of flash flooding, fallen power lines and scattered debris.
- Stay up to date via relevant social media sites, television and radio updates.
- Finally use today to book for Sunday night function if you haven't already done so, we also require anyone requesting a vegetarian meal to phone the surf club office today, 02 9523 5846 open until 2pm Sydney time.
- SES phone number for emergencies only 132 500
Congratulations everyone, we have had some great results together with equally great support from parents, team members, family and friends with movement of gear and tents. Lets continue to work together to get through this challenge and stay safe as the weather is expected to deteriorate later today and tomorrow.
